We trekked to Maryland to celebrate the day. There was delish food, especially the guac, fun in the sun, creepy critters galore and family to be found every which way you looked. As always, the kids favorite part is playing in the water. I don't blame them since they can go out as far as they want and I get to set and make the sand look pretty. I, on the other hand, do not care for the spiders, ticks and ants that tend to fling themselves at me and suck my blood. Nor do I care to wake up in the middle of the night and feel said creepy crawlers sucking said blood out of said head.
I do enjoy the jump start to my summer tan. Talking to the Candland peeps makes me pine for a pool that we could camp out at for the summer but we will survive without one for yet another year. I don't really know what they will be doing this summer other that the good old fashioned cub scout camp, booyah, get your bee bee's ready Jimbo. I'm already planning on what street corner I wish to leave my kids at when they bickering gets to be too much, which by all accounts will be day 2 of summer break.
Christopher spent a good long time talking to Granddad, which is just his way of sucking up to get Granddad's power washer, which he did in fact get and put to immediate use. Hence, my facebook post about power washing anonymous. He needs a life time membership. My flowers bit the dust after he tried to "clean them". What's a girl to do? On second thought, maybe I'll take away his tuna for a day. By Joe, that's what I'll do! That will show him not to mess with my flowers.

Anyways, another fun time was had. Another memory made. Booyah.
